Tervalum Intelligence & Research

Independent evidence. Better-informed decisions.

Tervalum Systems provides scoped open-source research, evidence verification, and independent analytical review for organizations evaluating complex claims and consequential decisions.

Focused services

Review the evidence, not the reputation of the author.

A second opinion may confirm an existing conclusion, identify unsupported assumptions, or reveal consequential information gaps. Our objective is defensible analysis, not a predetermined disagreement.

Intelligence product validation

Trace material claims to original sources, review source quality, check dates and calculations, and distinguish verified facts from analytical judgments.

Independent analytical second opinions

Examine competing explanations, alternative scenarios, uncertainty, and whether the evidence warrants the decisions a report recommends.

Public-source infrastructure intelligence

Research planning and permitting records, public infrastructure dependencies, community considerations, and risk disclosures for proposed developments, including data centers.

Method

Traceable findings with explicit limits

1. Define the decision

Agree on the questions to be answered, the original materials available, intended uses, scope, and review boundaries.

2. Test the evidence

Check key sources and figures, examine contrary evidence, document assumptions, and record what cannot be verified.

3. Deliver the assessment

Provide an evidence register, supported conclusions, material discrepancies, analytical confidence qualifications, and recommended follow-up questions.

We undertake research and analytical reviews within demonstrated qualifications. We do not certify engineering capacity, environmental compliance, legal sufficiency, or other regulated professional conclusions. Sensitive client files should not be sent through the public contact form; agree on an appropriate transfer process first.

Demonstration

A data center second-opinion case study

We developed an independent, self-initiated review of a publicly available economic-impact study concerning a proposed Nobles County, Minnesota data center. The sample illustrates claim verification, analytical challenge, and the distinction between forecasts and approved projects.

Portfolio sample only. This was not commissioned by Nobles County, the developer, or the authors of the original study. It is not an official government or engineering assessment.

Why Tervalum?

Tervalum develops professional software for security assessments, investigations, evidence management, and defensible reporting. The research service extends that evidence-centered discipline into independently commissioned analytical work. Software development experience alone is not presented as previous government consulting experience.

Engagements are individually scoped and quoted before work begins. For research and partnership inquiries, contact info@tervalum.com.
